Contraction Timer & Kick Count · Last updated: 1 August 2026
In short: your pregnancy data — contractions, kick sessions, notes and settings — is stored locally on your device. We do not have an account system, we do not upload your health data to our servers, and we never sell your data.
1. Who we are
Contraction Timer & Kick Count ("the app") is developed by Erkan Can. If you have any question about this policy, contact us at erkancanmac@gmail.com.
2. Health and pregnancy data you enter
Contraction timings, kick counts, session notes, hospital bag checklist items and app preferences are saved in the app's local database on your iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. This data:
- stays on your devices and is synced between your iPhone and Apple Watch by Apple's own connectivity framework;
- is never transmitted to servers operated by us;
- is only shared when you choose to share it — for example when you export a PDF report or use the iOS share sheet;
- is deleted when you delete the app, or when you clear the data from the app's settings.
If you have iCloud Backup enabled, your device backup — including the app's local database — is handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy.
3. Data processed by third-party services
To keep the app working and improve it, we use a small number of service providers. They do not receive your contraction or kick records.
- Google Firebase (Analytics, Remote Config, App Check): anonymous usage and diagnostic events, such as which screens are opened, plus device model, OS version, language, region and an app-generated identifier. Used to understand feature usage and to configure the app remotely.
- RevenueCat: processes and validates your subscription and purchase status. It receives an anonymous app user ID and the transaction information returned by Apple. Payment details are handled by Apple and are never visible to us.
- Apple Search Ads / Google on-device conversion measurement: used in aggregated form to measure whether an app install came from an advertising campaign.
You can turn analytics collection off at any time in the app under More → Settings → Analytics. The app does not use the App Tracking Transparency permission and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
4. Notifications
If you allow notifications, the app schedules reminders locally on your device. No notification content is sent through our servers.
5. Subscriptions and purchases
Premium features are offered as auto-renewing subscriptions or a one-time lifetime purchase. All payments are processed by Apple through your Apple Account. We receive only the purchase status, never your payment method or billing address. The standard Apple licence terms apply: Terms of Use (EULA).
6. Children
The app is intended for adults tracking their own pregnancy. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
7. Your rights
Because your pregnancy data never leaves your device, you remain in full control of it: you can view, export or delete it at any time from within the app. For questions about analytics data collected through Firebase, or to request its deletion, write to erkancanmac@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.
8. Medical disclaimer
The app is a tracking tool, not a medical device. It does not provide medical advice or diagnosis. Always contact your midwife, doctor or emergency services with any concern about your pregnancy or labour.
9. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the "last updated" date above.
